I would like to know about the entry programmes currently being offered by your police force for recruits and the number of recruits attracted to these programmes.

Specifically, I request the following information:
1. Entry Programmes for Recruits:

Please list all the entry programmes currently being offered for police recruits by your force. These may include, but are not limited to:

Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) Detective Degree Holder Entry Programme (Detective DHEP) Pre-join Degree in Professional Policing (PPD) Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)

2. Number of Recruits:
For each of the above entry programmes, please provide the number of recruits who have joined each programme from June 2023 to June 2024.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) are currently appointing new Police Officer recruits via the following routes:

• Detective Constable Entry Programme (DCEP)
• Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA)
• Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)

For each of the above entry programmes, please provide the number of recruits who have joined each programme from June 2023 to June 2024.

Please see the table below. This covers the time period of June 2023 – May 2024. The reason for this is that the data for June 2024 was not available at the point the data search was run.

Please note, IPLDP and DHEP have been withdrawn by MPS and they are no longer open to candidates.
