Q1 - Do you have AEDs (defibrillators) in your workplace?

Yes, both Buildings & Emergency Response Vehicles.

Q2 - If yes, where are your AEDs stored? (e.g. in vehicles, in offices/stations, outside of building in a cabinet)

Our AED’s are stored within Buildings at key locations where we have a number of colleagues present. AED form part of the First Aid Kit carried with a Police Emergency response vehicle.

Q3 - How many AEDs do you have?

The MPS has approximately 556 AEDS.

Q4 - What make & model are the AEDs please?

The make and model of AEDs are CR2 5G enabled Life Pack

Q5 - How old are the AEDs or what year were they purchased?

Some AEDS are currently being replaced. This was purchased in 2024.

Q6 - When would you look to replace your AEDs?

Operational Support Services in collaboration with H&S would support the maintenance of equipment such as AEDs.

Q7 - Who in the force deals with the maintenance of equipment such as AEDs?

Operational Support Services Command deals with the maintenance of equipment such as AEDs.

Q8 - Who is in charge of purchasing equipment such as AEDs?

The head of the Health and Safety is in charge of purchasing equipment such as AEDs.

Q9 - Where do you purchase AEDs from?

The MPS purchases AEDs from Aero Healthcare.
