People arrested for sexual activity at Royal Free Hospital

Please disclose how many people have been arrested for engaging in sexual activity at the Royal Free Hospital in Camden from the dates January 2018 to December 2023. 

 

Can I please have a break down per year. If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits (Section 12), it would be great if you could provide advice and assistance,. 

 

If you hold information on some parts of the request but not others, please could you provide that information, rather than a blanket refusal.

Please note that the data below has been aggregated due to the low numbers returned and potential identification issues should it be disclosed broken down per year.

 

 

The data was extracted from NSPIS & CONNECT Custody data.  The data represents arrests that were taken to Custody and does not include individuals that may have been arrested and then de-arrested.

 

The data was extracted based on the first arrest date.

 

Based on the report requirements ("...arrested for engaging in sexual activity at the Royal Free Hospital…"), the data set was limited to Custody Records that contained "Royal Free Hospital" within the Arrest Location (the Arrest Location is not necessarily where the offence took place).  This data was then limited to Custody Records that had at least one CJS Codebeginning with "SX".  The relevant CJS Codes found are as follows;

Arrest Count Notes

The Custody Records counted contained "Royal Free Hospital" within the Arrest Location and had at least one of the offences listed above entered on the relevant Custody Record.  An individual can be arrested for a number of various offences and can include multiple counts of the same offence.

The number of Custody Records do not equate to the number of individuals.  For example, an individual may have been arrested twice within the time period stated.

The Offence Short Title does not indicate the outcome.  For example, an Offence Short Title may have resulted in "No Further Action".

I can confirm that from 2018 to 2023 there have been seven arrests at the Royal Free Hospital in relation to the sexual offences as mentioned above.
