I would like to know if the police keep any data from the 1960's. Specifically if any employment history and/or career paths are kept.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
If you are asking about police staff or police officers, we can advise that we do keep records for police officers but not police staff.
Information for police officers including promotion is found in Police Orders. These are held for the 1960s and they are open to the public via appointment.
We also have a collection of Central Records of Service (CRS), although we do not have a complete set for every MPS officer however we can check if the name and date of birth are provided. These can be requested by the officer themselves or by a third party if the officer is deceased with a copy of the death certificate.
