I note you seek access to the following information:

1. The number of crimes committed at, or in the immediate vicinity to, the Winter Wonderland Hyde Park event in 2023.
2. Please include the total number of offences recorded at the premises, and
3. A break down of offence sub-category and frequency, during the Winter Wonderland opening period in 2023 (17 November 2023 to 1 January 2023)
4. Pursuant to the cost limitations under Section 12 of the act, please also include the total cost of policing the event Pursuant to the cost limitations under Section 12 of the act,
5. Please also include the total and breakdown of offences at Winter Wonderland in the past 5 calendar years (2018 to 2023 inclusive)

Q1 - The number of crimes committed at, or in the immediate vicinity to, the Winter Wonderland Hyde Park event in 2023.

Q3 - A break down of offence sub-category and frequency, during the Winter Wonderland opening period in 2023 (17 November 2023 to 1 of January 2023)
Q5 - Please also include the total and breakdown of offences at Winter Wonderland in the past 5 calendar years (2018 to 2023 inclusive)

Q4 - Pursuant to the cost limitations under Section 12 of the act, please also include the total cost of policing the event Pursuant to the cost limitations under Section 12 of the act,

With reference to Q.4, we have provided the ‘opportunity cost’ for the event (which is the approximate cost of the core shifts of the officers on the event which ordinarily is not a cash cost of the Met because in most cases officers are moved from other duties). This was £183,747.25 for the dates 16 November 2023 to January 2024. To provide an actual cost, e.g., including overtime, etc., would exceed the cost threshold of 18 hours.
