Q1 - What is the training for a “dog expert” under the DDA of 1991?

To be recognised as a force accredited expert/subject matter expert a police officer/member of police staff must undertake and pass a 2 week College of Policing Dog Legislation Officer (DLO) course.

This course consists of inputs re all areas of dog legislation.
