Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.23.032617
I note you seek access to the following information:
The Home Office has recently stated that it plans to make nitrous oxide a Class C controlled drug.
Will you be introducing training or guidance for officers on how to implement this?
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
As of writing this response there are no plans to introduce any new training. However this would be captured as part of the MPS training needs assessment if necessary and then training would be locally delivered to officers and staff as part of their CPD inputs.
The Misuse of Drugs Act legislation would apply the same with the other offences.
