I would like to know if there are any specific trainings for the police/police staff (MET) regarding discrimination. Specifically, I'm interested in whether there is a specific training provided to prevent discrimination or harassment in the workplace related to maternity/pregnancy.
If such training exists, is it mandatory for police officer/police staff? How often does it take place? And how is it conducted?

In terms of training – there is a mandatory eLearning package for all officers and staff on the Equality Act 2010 which is owned by the College of Policing – they can be approached by you directly as the CoP owns this.
Our recruits through the PEQF (Policing Education Qualifications Framework) which includes PC and direct entry detective and those PC recruits coming through training at Hendon all cover the following:
There are several inputs around Engagement and Inclusion in the initial 17 weeks training.
Session aims
These sessions will develop the student police officers understanding of key factors affecting equality, engagement and inclusion of the community, within the framework of the Equality Act, unconscious bias and the national decision model.
Learning outcomes
1. Describe and assess the implications of bias, prejudice, discrimination, and stereotyping when performing the role of police constable.
2. Demonstrate effective approaches to challenge inappropriate behaviour amongst colleagues.
3. Discuss the impact of conscious and unconscious bias on their decision-making process.

1. Identify the impact of conscious and unconscious bias on their decision-making process.
2. Describe the impact of bias in decision making on the engagement and inclusion role of a constable.
