insofar as it would not exceed costs limits, please also provide any introductory briefing/training materials or usage manuals.

Please provide statistics on the scale and efficacy of FIMS (please only proceed from each question to the next if it would not exceed the relevant costs thresholds to do so):

1) how many suspects’ images are circulated on the system per year or other period?
2) how many unidentified suspects are presently outstanding awaiting identification on FIMS, either right now, on average, or at any typical given time?
3) how many crimes have typically been solved through FIMS per yearor month?
4) what is the average time taken between images being circulated and identifications made through this system?
5) what percentage of suspects’ profiles that are circulated on FIMS are successfully identified thereby?

FIMS = Forensic Image Management System

Q2 - Insofar as it would not exceed costs limits, please also provide any introductory briefing/training materials or usage manuals.

Please find attached PDF presentation. FIMS is designed specifically to not require training so that anyone and everyone (within the MPS) can access it and make identifications.

Of those circulated in the same period 12872

Q4 - What is the average time taken between images being circulated and identifications made through this system?

Approximately 7 days on average

Q5 - What percentage of suspects’ profiles that are circulated on FIMS are successfully identified thereby?

Of those circulated in 2022 - 34%
