As per APP 7.22.25 states - Forces should check content on publically available social media sites for the purposes of service reputational reassurance, and to ensure that the applicants online behaviour is compatible with the Code of Ethics or Standards of Professional Behaviour.
Currently the MPS Vetting Unit conduct manual searches on each applicant as part of the vetting process.
Vetting and Referencing are awaiting procurement for automated social media checks.
