In the September 2023 papers for the London Policing Board, printed page 66, the Commissioner's report states that: "We committed to putting 465 more officers and
100 more staff into our public protection teams locally: 42 are in post."
The latest Policing Board papers reassert this target but have not updated the number of 42 - would you please provide an up to date number?

We are 156 officers into our Public Protection uplift in the areas that have been prioritised (CSU, RASSO and MASH/CAIT referrals as well as central and leadership team). The numbers do vary as officer’s retire/leave/transfer but this is the figure as at 14/12/2023.
CSU - Community Safety Unit
RASSO - Rape and Serious Sexual Offences
MASH - Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs
CAIT - Child Abuse Investigation Team
