I have today decided to disclose some of the requested information. Some data has been withheld as it is exempt from disclosure and therefore this response serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) by virtue of the following exemptions:

Q1 - How many officers in your force have currently (as of 18/09/23) been signed off work for stress/anxiety/burnout?
We can only provide number of officers off sick at the end of Sep 2023.
401 officers were off sick on 30/09/23 due to the psychological disorders in total.
39 were off sick due to the below:
Psychological Disorders - Exhaustion / Fatigue
Psychological Disorders - Nerves / Depression / Anxiety
Psychological Disorders - Stress / Debility

Q4 - How many officers in your force are currently are under investigation for
a) misconduct
724 officers for misconduct
b) gross misconduct?
1529 officers for gross misconduct.
Q5 - How many officers in your force are currently suspended from duty following investigation?
190 suspended officers.
Q6 - How many officers are currently working “under conditions” following investigation?
790 restricted officers
Please note that officers are only counted once even if there are multiple cases against a single officer.
