3) How many officers have joined the force in:
a) The current financial year (2023-24)?

4) How many officers in your force are currently (as of18/09/23) are under investigation for
a) misconduct
b) gross misconduct?
5) How many officers in your force are currently (as of 18/09/23) suspended from duty following investigation?
6) How many officers are currently (as of 18/09/23) working “under conditions” following investigation?
Decision
I have today decided to disclose some of the requested information. Some data has been withheld as it is exempt from disclosure and therefore this response serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) by virtue of the following exemptions:

The information requested has been identified as being accessible via other means as it is already published. Where information is already in the public domain we are not required to re-publish the data; instead public authorities are required to direct you to the information, which we have done in this instance.

Q1 - How many officers in your force have currently (as of 18/09/23) been signed off work for stress/anxiety/burnout?
We can only provide number of officers off sick at the end of Sep 2023.
401 officers were off sick on 30/09/23 due to the psychological disorders in total.
39 were off sick due to the below:
Psychological Disorders - Exhaustion / Fatigue
Psychological Disorders - Nerves / Depression / Anxiety
Psychological Disorders - Stress / Debility

Q4 - How many officers in your force are currently are under investigation for
a) misconduct
724 officers for misconduct
b) gross misconduct?
1529 officers for gross misconduct.
Q5 - How many officers in your force are currently suspended from duty following investigation?
190 suspended officers.
Q6 - How many officers are currently working “under conditions” following investigation?
790 restricted officers
Please note that officers are only counted once even if there are multiple cases against a single officer.
