Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.23.032445
I note you seek access to the following information:
I'd like to request the full wording and definition of RaDT (mentioned in missing persons procedure documents) and / or 'RAD Team' (BCU organisation charts).
This seems to be to do with risk assessment / resource allocation, but the full titles don't seem to be listed anywhere.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above..
In 2021 the MPS considered a number of reviews into delivery challenges of the Local Resolution Team (LRT) model across the BCUs and addressed recognised difficulties.
From November 2021, following a pilot at four BCU’s, LRTs became Resource and Demand Teams (RaDT). The RaDT will undertake the LRT Missing Persons function, however, it will become a 24 hours, 7 days a week capability and resourced with flexibility across the Emergency Response Teams. The MPS are preparing a renewed process guidance for all staff who are likely to be deployed to the RaDT, and it will ensure knowledge and access to critical information will be available at all times. This will be completed by the end of November 2021.
The RaDT process was then merged back into the LRT model so the term RaDT was no longer used.
