I note you seek access to the following information:

How many FOI requests were received each month over the last year? And how many were received in each of the past ten years?

Please provide any materials you may feel are best relevant to answering these questions/statistics.

Decision

I have today decided to disclose some of the requested information. Some data has been withheld as it is exempt from disclosure and therefore this response serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) by virtue of the following exemptions:

Section 21(1) - Information which is reasonably accessible by other means

Reason for decision

The information requested is already available in the public domain and, where information is already in the public domain we are not required to re-publish the data, instead, public authorities are required to direct you to the information, which we have done in this instance by providing the relevant link. This action is in accordance with section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act.

Disclosure

We are pleased to advise that most of the information requested is already in the public domain via the Met Police Dashboard This covers a 9-year period from January 2015 up to 23 September 2023.
