Driving qualifications of Officers within the MPS

I note you seek access to the following information:

I am interested in obtaining specific data regarding the driving qualifications of officers within the London Metropolitan Police.

Specifically, I would like to know the number of officers with the following driving qualifications:

• Basic Driver Training
• Response Driver Training
• Advanced Driver Training

I am also requesting information on the number of officers who fall into the following categories:

• Officers who do not hold a driving license.
• Officers who hold a driving license but are not authorised to any policing standard.

Furthermore, I request information on the total number of officers within the London Metropolitan Police force as of today (Friday 17 November 2023).

I am interested in obtaining specific data regarding the driving qualifications of officers within the London Metropolitan Police.
Specifically, I would like to know the number of officers with the following driving qualifications:

• Basic Driver Training:

There is no information held as we do not have this information as there is no training for a Basic Driver.

• Response Driver Training:

As of 01/12/2023 there are 4,044 officers with Response as their highest level of driving.

• Advanced Driver Training:

As of 01/12/2023 there are 1,505 officers with Advanced as their highest level of driving.

I am also requesting information on the number of officers who fall into the following categories:
• Officers who do not hold a driving license.
• Officers who hold a driving license but are not authorised to any policing standard.

We do not hold information relating to officers who hold driving licences.

The total number of officers within the London Metropolitan Police force as of today (Friday 17 November 2023).
