If so what were the learnings from that research?
And how were those learnings implemented?
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1 - Have you ever undertaken any user research to assess how easy it is for citizens to understand your ‘Notification of Intended Prosecution’ letters (Camera Processing Services)?
Not externally to members of the public although we have consulted with other partners previously. However, we are always considering ways to improve the document and are currently working with the Home Office in looking at ways to simplify the Notice of Intended Prosecution.
Q2 - If so what were the learnings from that research?
Learnings from the research have identified to try and keep the document as clear and simple as possible. There is a need to balance the need to ensure key information is included and also provide clear guidance to assist the recipient to be able to visit the portal and / or complete the form in the correct manner.
Q3 - And how were those learnings implemented?
The Notice of Intended Prosecution has been regularly updated following consultation and implementation and processing on the StarTraq DOME adjudication system in March 2020.
If feedback is ever received from recipients, the Notice is reviewed to consider if any adjustment(s) could be made to provide additional clarity for the recipient on Page 1 of the Notice. Page 2 is reserved solely for the response to Section 172 requirement.
