I would like to know if an officer is physically assaulted on the way home from work in a hate crime what are the policies in place or what duty of care should the officer receive from work?

Should a Met employee (including the wider police family) be subjected to a hate crime or specified investigation within a Met working environment, they should receive the same enhanced and professional level of service as any other member of the public, with the allegation being recorded on a crime report
Where an employee of the Met is subjected to such an incident on or off duty, it is essential they are provided the best possible support by their managers and given the opportunity to be referred to appropriate support agencies.
