I am writing a true crime book and I am mentioning Operation Fairbank briefly. Please let me know the outcome of the operation mentioned, as I can't find anything online about it after December 2015.
I specifically wanted to know whether it was only concerned with the abuse of boys from children's homes in London, the conclusion, and whether girls were involved.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Operation Fairbank was established in 2012 and was the overarching name for the MPS reviewing/scoping exercise of allegations made about historical child sex abuse claims involving politicians, other public figures and other persons. Operation Fairbank established a number of different criminal investigations under which various lines of enquiry were investigated. Each investigation had a different operation name. The allegations investigated by police involved victims that were both male and female and included abuse in children’s homes and other locations.
There is no single outcome for Operation Fairbank as this operation led to a number of different criminal investigations under different operation names.
