Q1 - How much money has been spent to date on Operation Amherst [the MPS and Police Scotland investigation into ex-IPCC Commissioner Jennifer Izekor and an IPCC investigator, following allegations of criminal conduct]?

The MPS, to date of this notice has spent £1,054,840.87 on mutual aid and £15,920.00 on external counsel fees in connection with Operation Amherst. These figures are comprised of the amount paid to Police Scotland for mutual aid and legal work completed by external barristers. Please note that this figure does not include the cost of in-house fees earners (lawyers and paralegals) and administrative support provided by staff within the Met’s Directorate of Legal Service. This information is not recorded by the MPS.
