1. How many residential properties does the Met Police currently own?
2. How many residential properties does the Met Police currently have control over?
3. How many of all these properties are currently occupied?

5. Of the occupied properties how many of those are occupied by tenants?
6. Is there a waiting list for tenancies?
7. Of the occupied properties how many of those are occupied in other capacities, for example, office space?
8. Of the occupied properties, how many are occupied by retired police/staff?
9. Does the MPS offer accommodation to new recruits, transferees or persons on attachment?
10. With regards to unoccupied properties, is there a process in place whereby police officers/staff/secondees may apply for tenancy?

Q1 - How many residential properties does the Met Police currently own?

Q3 - How many of all these properties are currently occupied?
The exact number occupied fluctuates month by month, however at this time 56 are occupied. The other unoccupied units have all been reserved for future occupants with the exception of units which currently require extensive works.
Q4 - How many of these properties are currently unoccupied?
This number changes on a month by month basis. 15 units are unoccupied at this time, either being already reserved for future occupants, or unoccupied due to requiring extensive works.
Q5 - Of the occupied properties how many of those are occupied by tenants?
Of the occupied properties, all are occupied by tenants.
Q6 - Is there a waiting list for tenancies?
Yes
Q7 - Of the occupied properties how many of those are occupied in other capacities, for example, office space?
As per the answer to Q5, of the occupied properties, all are occupied by tenants.
Q8 - Of the occupied properties, how many are occupied by retired police/staff?
Once a police officer retires they are no longer entitled to remain in occupation, their entitlement ends and the property is brought back into the estate.
Q9 - Does the MPS offer accommodation to new recruits, transferees or persons on attachment?
Yes, if they meet the eligibility criteria and in line with the accommodation allocation policy.
Q10 - With regards to unoccupied properties, is there a process in place whereby police officers/staff/secondees may apply for tenancy?
If officers/staff/secondees wish to apply for accommodation they must meet the eligibility criteria
