Agreements between the Met and TFL

I note you seek access to the following information:

Please supply all agreements that the Met has with Transport for London, and the sums of money involved.

This relates to paid for policing. ie. Where people pay the Met and the Met diverts resources to do the payer's bidding.

MOPAC and TfL have a Special Services Agreement covering the Roads & Transport Policing Command and Safety Camera Partnership team.

The existing agreement is currently due for review and any updated agreement will be published once that has concluded. Whole contract values are reviewed annually and for 23/24 the total budget assumption from TfL is £110m.

For an accurate spend position TfL published 21/22 accounts details the expenditure to MPS/MOPAC at that point in time, I attach a link here. Annual Report and Statement of Accounts 2021/22 (tfl.gov.uk) - The details are found on page 216.
The 22/23 accounts are not yet published so cannot be shared at this time.

Policing Costs:
As advised in your previous request reference 01/FOI/23/028692 and Internal Review Ref: 01/FOI/23/030978 we do not routinely collate costs for individual police operations, overall costs are published.
