If you're collecting for charity in London you may need a permit. The Met provides permits for all house-to-house charity collections, and certain street collections.
This service will help you find out if you need a charity collection permit. It will also tell you what type of permit you need and how you can apply for it.
I’m applying for a house-to-house collection permit over a 12 month period and my request has been approved
Thank you. You can only typically apply online for a house-to-house collection permit for an up-to 12 month period, or up-to 18 months with prior authorisation from the Met's licensing team.
If you wish to apply for a maximum of 18 months, please email the team at the Met first to do this.
You can continue online if the team have approved your request.
