Good news. You don't need to notify the Met about this load.


Vehicle loads less than 18.65m (61’2”) long, 2.9m (9’6”) wide and 80,000kg (78.74 tons) are not classed as abnormal by the police.


However, you may still need to inform other authorities, such as the Highways Agency. Visit the UK Government's website to find out and notify them if necessary.
