Report a road traffic collision with possible offence but no evidence

Thank you for getting in touch. If you have exchanged details with the people involved in the collision, you are not obliged to notify the police. See the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 170.

However, If you believe one of the people involved has committed an offence, you can report it using the online form below, at the end of which you will receive a unique reference number.

Please note, as there is no evidence of the incident taking place, we cannot prosecute anyone for a driving offence. However, if any new information comes to light we may get in touch and investigate your report further.
