Salary: The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928. The salary is broken down as £35,998 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £38,523. There is also a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000

In this fast paced and impactful role, you will be part of a team responsible for content creation, engagement and managing our external and internal communications channels. There is no greater mission than keeping the public safe and our communities and police officers and staff depend on excellent communication and engagement online.
No two days are the same, from monitoring and reacting to high-profile issues, providing high-quality communications advice, to planning campaigns or filming a dawn raid, you will be at the heart of driving how the Met communicates online.
You will play a key role in the implementation of our digital strategy that aims to transform how the Met connects with its internal and external audiences supporting the planning, management, delivery, and evaluation of communications.
This communications role is vital to the success of the Met. Effective communication and engagement are essential to supporting our communities and police officers.
