To do their job and protect the UK, Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) needs the right tech at the right time. As a service design and transition manager, you’ll make sure that’s the case, whatever the situation or challenge. Your work isn’t just important, it’s mission critical. In effect, you could be the difference between an operation’s success or failure.
A career in Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) is like no other, as you’ll be playing your part in keeping the country safe. In brief, you’ll be making sure CTP staff can operate as effectively as possible by delivering the IT services they need.
It means helping project managers to establish service design requirements and modelling for ongoing delivery. You’ll also develop service design across the portfolio and provide an assurance function.
In addition, you’ll see that the service operation as a whole is set up and in place to ensure easy handover. You’ll tackle everything from event and incident management to request fulfilment, problem management and access management.
Where necessary, you’ll also provide cross-supplier incident problem and change process integration. Whatever the task, you’ll manage stakeholder's expectations and work closely with process leads to ensure a smooth handover of service.
We operate in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to thrive in a busy team. We’re looking for service management experience gained in the public sector, plus a qualification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Service Transition and Service Design (or equivalent). Whatever your background, you’ll have led the design and transition aspect of large programmes and set up transition governance before.
