Dates of hearing: 20 to 23 January 2025
The gross misconduct hearing of PC A, based at South East (SE) Basic Command Unit, concluded on Thursday 23 January 2025.
The hearing took place in person at Empress State Building, West Brompton, London. PC A attended alongside his Federation Representative, PC Keith Malda.
The allegation was that PC A breached the Standards of Professional behaviour relating to:
In that, on 20 December 2022, whilst off duty at a work night out held at The Cuban nightclub in Canterbury, PC A entered a toilet cubicle occupied by PC B and allegedly asked her several times to perform oral sex on him, undoing his trouser zip, despite PC B’s refusals.
The Chair, DAC Jon Savell, and independent panel members, Ms Bernadette Leverton and Mr Mark Dent, considered all of the evidence presented. They were assisted by Legally Qualified Advisor, Mr Maurice Cohen.
The panel found that the allegation was not proven.
