Officer concerned: Former PC Adu Ntow
Dates of hearing: 13 to 17 January 2025
The Misconduct Hearing for former PC Adu Ntow formally based at North East Basic Command Unit concluded on Tuesday 14 January 2025. The hearing started on 13 January 2025 in person at Palestra House, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, but transitioned to a remote format for its final day. Former PC Ntow did not attend and was not legally represented.
It was alleged that being a member of the Metropolitan Police Service, and while engaged in initial police training, between 15 July 2021 and 30 September 2021 former PC Ntow engaged in acts of non-consensual sexual touching and other inappropriate sexual behaviours towards female colleagues.
It was alleged that in doing so the following Standards of Professional Behaviour have been breached:
Commander Peter Stevens alongside Legally Qualified Advisor Julian Weinberg and Independent Panel Members Martin Pike and Karen McArthur considered all of the evidence presented by the Appropriate Authority.
The panel found all allegations against former PC Ntow proven at a level of Gross misconduct.
Had former PC Ntow still been a serving member of the police service, he would have been dismissal without notice.
