Summary

Special Constable Carlos Costa Coelho Correia faced a misconduct hearing for allegations of gross misconduct for his actions on a night out. The officer is alleged to have kissed a colleague, squeezed her breast and touched her genitals over clothing.

Later in the evening, the officer is alleged to have touched the same colleagues thigh and made an inappropriate comment whilst sat together at a McDonald's.

The allegations if proven, amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviours relating to Authority, Respect, Courtesy and Discreditable Conduct.

Decision

The Panel determined that the actions of the officer amounted to Gross Misconduct, and determined the appropriate sanction was dismissal without notice.
