• Discreditable Conduct
• Use of Force

It is alleged that on 2 December 2022 Officer A:

1. Made a discreditable comment
2. Grabbed a youth by the neck and pushed him against the wall

Decision

The panel found that Officer A was proven to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour of Discreditable Conduct and Use of Force.

1. Allegation 1 was proven at a level of Misconduct only
2. Allegation 2 was proven at a level of Gross Misconduct

Officer A was given a Final Written Warning which will remain live for five years.
