PC Leo Steeden answered allegations that his conduct amounted to a breach of professional standards in respect of:
It was alleged that the conduct of PC Leo Steeden had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour, as follows:
On 8 August 2022, he:
1. Drove or was in charge of a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit; and
2. Failed to remain at the scene of an accident
3. Produced his warrant card without a policing purposes in order to gain a personal advantage thus giving the impression that you were abusing your trust
Having considered all of the evidence provided by the Appropriate Authority and from the Officer, the panel found that allegation 1 and 3 were proven at the level of Gross Misconduct. Allegation 2 was not proven.
Allegation 1: Discreditable Conduct
Allegation 3: Integrity Only (not Dishonesty)
PC Steeden was dismissed without notice and will be placed on the College of Policing Barred list.
