It is alleged that on 4 July 2020, officers followed, pursued and stopped a car driven by a male, used force to restrain the driver and passenger, who were black and detained them for a period of time.

The Misconduct Hearing concerning Acting PS Simpson, PC Clapham, PC Bond, PC Franks and PC Casey concluded Wednesday 25 October 2023.
The Chair, Ms Chiew Yin Jones and panel members Det. Supt. Mark Broom and Vincent Walker considered all of the evidence and found the following:
PC Clapham and PC Franks were found to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to Honesty and Integrity at the level of Gross Misconduct. This was in relation to a drug search on 4 July 2020.
Both PC Clapham and PC Franks were dismissed without notice.
PC Casey, PC Bond and Acting PS Simpson, the panel did not find misconduct, however given some of the factual matters, were referred to reflective practice review process.
