PC Conor Casey, P235206, based at East Area Command Unit will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of Standard of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
Whilst being a serving member of the Metropolitan Police Service, it is alleged PC Casey inappropriately used a police vehicle’s warning equipment and/or driving exemptions without justification and accordingly, exposed members of the public to unjustifiable risk.
Following the events described above, PC Casey was asked to provide an explanation for his use of the vehicle’s warning equipment. It is suspected PC Casey gave false information in order to justify the activation of the warning equipment.
In acting this way it is alleged that PC Casey breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Discreditable Conduct and Honesty and Integrity, and that his conduct if proven, amounts individually and/or collectively to gross misconduct and is so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
