Special Constable Brian McAuslan s561298, based within the Central East Command Unit, will answer allegations that his conduct amounted to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
It is alleged that following an incident on 14 August 2021 in Shoreditch, London, SC McAuslan made a series of false allegations that whilst on duty he had been assaulted by members of the public.
It is also alleged that on 25 August 2021, SC McAuslan made a false statement alleging that he had been assaulted by members of the public as above, and also falsely alleged within that statement that this had been witnessed by another officer who had failed to take action.
It is alleged that in doing so SC McAuslan has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Honesty & Integrity. It is further alleged that this conduct, if proven, amounts to gross misconduct in that it is so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
