Police Constable Mia Korell, attached to the Roads & Transport policing command, will answer allegations that her conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
- Discreditable Conduct
- Authority, Respect & Courtesy
- Equality & Diversity
It is alleged that in October 2022, PC Korell used a disrespectful and discourteous term to describe black officers. Further, that the term was discriminatory and/or racist in nature.
It is further alleged that her conduct, if proven, amounts to gross misconduct and is so serious as to justify dismissal.
If you wish to apply to attend the hearing you must book no later than 1pm the previous working day. This is to allow for sufficient time to process the application. Any requests received after this time will be unable to be processed in time for the hearing and therefore will be rejected.
