Police Constable Horatiu Cojan, based within the South Area Command Unit, will answer allegations that his conduct amounted to breaches of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
It is alleged that during August and October 2022, PC Cojan displayed a repeated pattern of inappropriate behaviour towards female officers. Whilst on and off duty, the officer is alleged to have made inappropriate comments with a sexual undertone as well as unwanted physical closeness/contact. This has caused other officers to feel uncomfortable and disrespected.
It is further alleged that this conduct amounts to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the standards of professional behaviour that, if proved, is so serious that his dismissal would be justified.
