It is alleged that, in July 2006, whilst a Police Constable in Northamptonshire Police, the officer met ‘Ms A’ while involved in an investigation of domestic violence, whereby ‘Ms A’ was the victim. The officer then began an inappropriate personal relationship with ‘Ms A’, which lasted for approximately two months.
It is alleged that this conduct amounts to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, is so serious that his dismissal would be justified.
The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing as appropriate.
