Please tell me how many drink-spiking cases were recorded by your force in the calendar year 2022.

To do this, please do the following (as was done for the 2021 calendar year; see attached a previous request):

Please use this feature code to help identify drink/drug-spiking cases in calendar year 2022:

• CE – Drug(s) used on victim

Please tell me the number of reported crimes where the above feature code and following Home Office codes were applied:

• 088/05 – Administering a substance with intent
• 008/02 – Administering poison with intent to injure or annoy
• 005/10 – Administering poison so as to endanger life

Please use the following outcomes to identify those charged;
• Charged/ Summonsed
• Charge/Summons Alternate Offence

The information located relates specifically to offences where drug(s) were used on victims, but these will not necessarily be drink-spiking cases.

To reiterate, the data provided is NOT a total count of ‘drink spiking’ offences.

To determine a wholly accurate count of ‘drink spiking’ offences, each crime report would need to be read which would exceed the appropriate cost limit.
