I note you seek access to the following information:
1. How many Metropolitan police officers, staff and volunteers were subject to 10 or more complaints from members of the public in the period 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2022?
2. For each of these people:
a. How many complaints did each receive
b. How many resulted in no further action
c. Is one or more complaint case still open against the officer? (yes or no)
d. How many complaints led to a misconduct case being opened against the officer

Maintaining Public Trust in the MPS - Securing and maintaining the trust of the community is integral to the principle of policing by consent and to continue to do so, the MPS recognises that its staff must act with professionalism and integrity. The MPS treats each occasion that an allegation is made about the conduct of its staff extremely seriously and will fully investigate each incident to determine whether the conduct of that member of staff has breached the standards of professional behaviour. Where the conduct of staff is proven to have fallen below the standards of behaviour expected, the MPS will take robust action to ensure that its staff are held to account and that lessons are learnt from each case. Any instance where the conduct of our staff is alleged to have fallen below the standards of behaviour expected is treated extremely seriously by the MPS.
There are clear processes in place for anyone who wishes to make a complaint to the Metropolitan Police Service and the Met continues to improve access to that process both directly and through partners.
We have also set up the Anti-Corruption and Abuse Hotline in November 2022 – the first of its kind – which is managed by the independent charity Crimestoppers. This has been established to collect information about employees of the Met who are corrupt and committing serious crimes or causing harm to others.
The vast majority of complaints received relate to low-level conduct issues which can be resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant without formal misconduct action being taken. However, we are aware some allegations do relate to serious offending. We are determined not only to root out those who corrupt the Met, but to do everything we can to ensure people have more confidence to report issues of misconduct and to know that when they come forward, action will be taken.
