I have today decided to disclose some of the requested information. Some data has been withheld as it is exempt from disclosure and therefore this response serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act .
The answer to Question One (1) and Five (5) has been withheld as it is exempt from disclosure by virtue of the following exemption;
Section 21 (Information Accessible by other means)
Reason for decision
For ease of reference the MPS is able to provide a link instead to the already publicly available information in the Advice and Assistance Section of this letter below.
The answer to Question Two (2) and Six (6) is not recorded for all police officers and police staff. Officers and police staff are not obligated to share whether they have a disability. The MPS therefore do not record the data for the total number.
The answer to Question Three (3) and Seven (7) has been disclosed today.
The answer to Question Four (4) and Eight (8) is not recorded for all police officers and police staff. Officers and police staff are not obligated to share whether they have a disability. The MPS therefore do not record the data for the total number.
