Please could I request the following information:
1) The number of police officers that have been investigated for misusing their warrant cards in the calendar years of 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and available information for 2022.
2) For each recorded case, please can you provide details of the incidents that led to formal and informal sanctions, and the outcome of that action. Please specify which incidents relate to which outcomes and in which year the incidents took place.
I have today decided to disclose some of the requested information. Some data has been withheld as it is exempt from disclosure and therefore this response serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) by virtue of the following exemptions:

Reason for decision
With regards to the exemption being cited, some of the information you have requested relates to the specific reasons on the circumstances in relation to when officers have been reported for misusing their warrant cards. These details have been redacted as if full disclosure was made then this would potentially identify individuals and the MPS would therefore be in breach of those individuals Data Protection rights.
The disclosure of further information about the specifics of these incidents would not be necessary or proportionate in the circumstances of your request.
