Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.23.028692
I note you seek access to the following information:
Multiple traffic officers performing Revenue Collection for TFL inform me that they are doing this because TFL pay them for this service.
That wasn't at one meeting, it was spread over several meetings.
Can you please inform me as the amount of money TFL paid the Met for this service in the year 2022?
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Police Officers are not paid for this service. TfL and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) jointly fund the Roads and Transport Policing Command.
The combined funding provides for over 2,000 officers and PCSOs working to keep transport and travelling in London safer.
As part of the funding agreement with the MPS, officers provide support for revenue protection operations.
