Stonewall Diversity Champions scheme and MPS

  1. Please confirm whether the Metropolitan Police Service is currently or has been a member of the Stonewall Diversity Champions scheme at any time in the last five years.
  2. If so, please provide the amount of any money paid to Stonewall in 2021/22, whether or not as payment for goods and services.
  3. Please confirm whether the Metropolitan Police Service has made a submission to the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index in the last five years.
  4. If so, please provide a copy of Metropolitan Police Service’s most recent submission to the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index.
  5. Please confirm whether the Metropolitan Police Service has an LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Network.
  6. Please confirm whether officers from Metropolitan Police Service attended any Pride events this year and for what purpose.

Yes.

Q2 - If so, please provide the amount of any money paid to Stonewall in 2021/22, whether or not as payment for goods and services.

Crime Prevention, Inclusion and Engagement provided £3,500 of funding for the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index. The Met LGBT+ Network has not provided any funding to Stonewall in 2021/22.

Q3 - Please confirm whether the Metropolitan Police Service has made a submission to the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index in the last five years.

Yes.

Q4 - If so, please provide a copy of Metropolitan Police Service’s most recent submission to the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index.

Yes. Pride in London provided 60 spaces for the Met LGBT+ Network to attend the Pride in London March this year and the purpose of the attendance was community engagement.
