I note you seek access to the following information:
In the questions below, ‘sex’ refers to a police officer’s biological sex, whereas ‘gender’ refers to a perceived gender identity that a person may consider they have, that may or may not match their biological sex.
1. Have you ever issued simultaneous duplicate warrant cards to a police officer with different genders on each warrant card?
For example, if a biologically male police officer identifies as the female gender (continuously or temporally), has the force ever issued a warrant card for both genders simultaneously that can be used by the officer interchangeably according to their gender presentation?
2. Does the force have a formal policy on this matter?
If so, I would like to request a copy of it.
3. If the answer to question 2 is yes, how many times has this policy/action been issued?
4. Do the officers in question have to present a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) in order to receive a duplicate warrant card?

Q1 - Have you ever issued simultaneous duplicate warrant cards to a police officer with different genders on each warrant card?
Gender or sex is not displayed on warrant cards. The MPS held a 6-month trial of dual warrant cards in 2016/17.
There are no current plans to roll out dual warrant cards and there are no Officers with dual warrant cards in the MPS. One officer participated in the trial.
Q2 - Does the force have a formal policy on this matter? If so, I would like to request a copy of it.
There is no formal policy on the issue of dual warrant cards as they do not exist.
Q3 - If the answer to question 2 is yes, how many times has this policy/action been issued?
In response question 2, there is no question to answer.
Q4 - Do the officers in question have to present a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) in order to receive a duplicate warrant card?
