Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.22.027311
I note you seek access to the following information:
According to The Guardian:
'Rowley admitted just 22% of calls to the Met were crime-related and that more than half of his officers on some shifts were monitoring people with mental health crises in hospital or custody.'
1. I would like information on how the figure of 22% was calculated ie the duration of the sample and the total number of calls.
2. I would like information on how the remaining 78% of calls were categorised.
3. I would like information on how you treated abandoned calls relating to the 22% figure ie were abandoned calls included in the total from which it was calculated or were they excluded? How many abandoned calls were there?
4. I would like information on the 'more than half of his officers...' remark. How many officers comprised the half?

Abandoned calls can be dealt with at the First Point of contact, If there is no sounds of distress or disturbance, the First Contact Operator will make three attempts to phone the caller back. This is to ascertain the reason for the call and to obtain a home address. If deployment is required the incident will be passed to despatch for officers to be deployed to the location of the caller.
The total number of abandoned calls were 422,044. It should be noted that these abandoned calls were mainly dealt with at the first point of contact.
Q4 - I would like information on the 'more than half of his officers...' remark. How many officers comprised the half?
