I note you seek access to the following information:

I am writing to ask that you please disclose details of the figures and details of reports and cases your force has dealt with year by year from 2019-2023 regarding vehicle hit-and-runs.

Please state the year, the outcome of the report/case, and if the victim was seriously injured or died in the crash.

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

Please note also that the attached report includes collisions, many self-reported, where there is a claim that the other party failed to stop at the scene of the collision.

For damage only collisions, this includes cases where parked vehicles have been damaged and third party details not left at the scene. It also includes records where the other party met their legal obligation and reported to police within 24 hours of the collision.

It is not possible to separate these records without reviewing each and every case.
