Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.22.026376
I note you seek access to the following information:
How many officers took sick leave for mental health reasons between April 2021 and March 2022.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Back in April 2022 we supplied you with the below table for your initial request which asked:
‘How many officers took sick leave for depression, anxiety, stress or post-traumatic stress between April 2021 and March 2022. By this, I mean where any of the terms 'depression', 'anxiety' or 'stress' or 'post-traumatic stress' appear in the description of the officer's illness.’
Psychological Disorders - Nerves / Depression / Anxiety | 73 |
Psychological Disorders - Stress / Debility | 102 |
Psychological Disorders - Trauma | 5 |
I explained that the above was self-defined by the person reporting sick and that there was a general reporting for mental health conditions which had not been counted here as you had specifically asked for the above categories.
You have now come back asking for the information for the same period relating to mental health conditions. Please see below the additional information we have recorded for the same period (April 2021 and March 2022).
Please note that once again these are self-defined by the person reporting sick. It is also possible that PTSD related absences could also be included in these figures.
