DATA CAVEATS
In supplying the data below there are caveats that you will need to note. The request asks for information about absences that are over six months long, the below figures are based on 183 days being the same as six months which is the number of sick days that Officers are fully paid for. As a result, absences that are 184 days or longer within a calendar year have been counted in the below figures. It is important to note that some officers are placed onto a Full Pay Extension immediately after their initial 183 day period at full pay, but some people go onto half pay, and possibly nil pay before they are given a pay extension. This therefore means that they have still received full pay beyond the first six months of absence but not immediately after. It should also be noted that some people have full pay extensions before they have reached 184 continuous days of absence. This might be because they had an earlier absence in a rolling twelve month period, so they started the following absence with a partially-exhausted full pay entitlement.
