I note you seek access to the following information:

1. I am requesting information regarding the use of Live Facial Recognition cameras, either via a trial or if it has been fully implemented by the force.

The timeframe for this request runs from 1 January 2021 to 15 August 2022.

When presenting the data, I would like to know the location, timespan and whether the LFR was a trial or full implementation of the cameras.

2. Can you also provide the total cost of using these systems throughout the timeframe and if any have resulted in arrests.

Please see the below link for all locations of LFR deployments but the timespan is not recorded.

All deployments are “full implementation”.

We don’t hold information on costs. The operation is in support of a wider policing initiative and therefore not captured.
