Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.22.025835
I note you seek access to the following information:
For the calendar years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 could you send me the number of police officers being investigated for a crime and any form of misconduct, broken down by:
• Officer rank
• Offence description (“Offence sub-group” or IOPC “key area” category are fine)
• Conclusion of the investigation by the relevant body
• Where an officer has been investigated for both a crime, by the misconduct by the police watchdog and your police force’s internal disciplinary procedure please put results of all three investigations
• Whether the officer resigned or retired before the conclusion of the case
Could you please provide the information in an Excel spreadsheet or another machine-readable format.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
These searches successfully located the information relevant to your request. I have attached an excel spreadsheet with the answers to your questions. Please note there are three separate tabs within the spreadsheet, titled cover sheet, notes and table. The notes page should be read in conjunction with the data to ensure the report is interpreted correctly.
Please note that in table 2 in the attached dataset there is a row tilted unidentified. This is due to the fact that potential conduct matters came to light and were investigated but a named officer was not at fault.
